Good morning, thank you, and sorry – such simple words, yet so powerful. As many of you know, they have been included in our leadership trainings over the past 7 years. Their importance keeps surprising us, and they keep popping up in places where we didn’t expect them to be relevant – that’s why we gave them a book of their own, along with 22 other shortcuts we keep returning to.
This is our 5th book about leadership, yet somehow it stands out from all the others. As we were writing, it became clear to us that the shortcuts we were writing regarding leadership at work are also applicable in many situations outside of the office. That is because the quest for great leadership is so closely tied to the quest for being a great person.
This book is a reminder to ourselves and to our readers that leadership isn’t a 9-to-5 job; it’s a 24/7 lifestyle. There are teams everywhere, not only at work, and this book gives you insights into managing them, and most importantly yourself. It’s about personal and professional leadership.
